Episode 200 - Olympic Break
Wow, Jon has done 200 of these things!
It’s the break week at the U.
Jon had some time to himself when Isabelle and I went away for a bit.
Jon has been watching hockey, curling and speed skating.
We want the USA to lose in hockey.
We did this one at my computer, rather than over zoom, as you can see in the pic.
Episode 199 - CNDOP
Today is CNDOP.
So of course we recorded.
Also, I’m sort of burying the lede here.
Jon did his presentation in class today and he did a fine job.
He did all of the research himself etc.
He even made a joke during his talk.
Isabelle and I are very proud of you Jon!

Jon texted me to record, so, well, we did.
It is Truth and Reconciliation Day.
Jon went to the gym with his trainer.
He did an exercise called a Superman, hence the pic.
Jon has a test this week.
I have tests to mark this week.

Jon and I realized we haven’t recorded in a while.
So we did.
The new school year is on.
We had our trip to Quebec.
Jon is taking animal behaviour.
Plus there is a psychology social he will be coming to.

Scooby Doo.
Jon has been watching lots of What’s New Scooby Do.
The theme is great, and there are lots of cool guest stars.
Jon has been working out a lot.
Of course he has been buying his 4K movies as well.
We did this over Zoom, but in the house, because we are weirdos

It’s the end of Jon’s second year doing classes with me.
He has really enjoyed this term, as he seems to have a thing for neuroscience.

Oh and he had a workout today, as he does.
Jon is great to have in class, he always comes, and he cares. I wish we had more Jons in our classes.

As noted previously, Jon goes on these podcasting binges.
So we had class today, and we talked about development.
Jon answered questions about his autism today in class, which I think was pretty cool.
We have been sick.

It’s been warming up, but it was very cold this morning.

Jon goes on sort of podcasting binges, and I think we’re in one now.
It’s the first day back since the break.
So we had our class, intro to neuroscience, this morning.
We also had a presentation on student voting.
Jon asked questions in both bits. Good ones too. He recounted his experience voting without ID (you can do it).
Oh yeah, Canada won the four nations.

Episode 189 - Zooming
The other day Jon said he wanted to do a ‘remote podcast’. Of course what he meant was that he wanted to do a podcast over Zoom like I so often do with my other ones.
So, today after class, Jon headed home and we did some recording!
Today we talked about stress and health in class.
Jon has been enjoying everything at the U so far.
The weather is getting cooler.
I’m not using one of my nice mics, so I don’t sound great…
Episode 188 - Back For Now
So my brother Dan and I were to do a podcast today, something came up, but I hadn’t removed it from our calendar.
Jon came up to me and said ‘we should be doing. apodcast’ and I figured he meant the Jonathan Files. Turns out he meant ‘We Have the Technology’.
You know what? We haven’t done one of these in ages, so let’s!
Jon is collecting movies.
Jon enjoyed his term at the university.
Jon is looking forward to the fall as well.

Episode 186 - Jon's Review of the Super Mario Bros. Movie
At this rate we’ll do at least two of these a year!
So we were in Sudbury over the weekend and we went to see the Super Mario Bros. Movie.
It was pretty good. I liked it, I’d give it 3 mushrooms out of five, Jon would of course give it perfect.
Oh right, this is full of spoilers.
We both l liked the music in the movie.

Episode 185 - Jon's Back!
Hey look! It’s a new Jonathan Files!
Well, maybe it’s a one off for the Canadian National Day of Podcasting, but he seemed pretty positive during the recording.
Oh yeah, Dec 1 is Canadian National Day of Podcasting, so it makes sense that we do a Jonathan Files.
Jon talked about Transplant, and Children Ruin Everything, they are his favourite shows currently, though he likes Wynnona Earp Still as well.

Episode 184 - Wynonna Earp Season 4 Review
Jon has opinions on season 4 of Wynonna Earp.
They are good opinions.
He liked everything about it (when he likes something he really likes it).
He’s also liked Star Trek: Below Decks. I’m not so sure about it, but I’m warming up to it.
He wants to see season 2 of The Boys. He didn’t watch season 1……
School is starting back up soon too!

It’s episode 183, which, I called 169 for some reason.
Jon’s back talking about his favourite show.
It had a love scene that Jon really liked.
He rates the episode 5 out of 5.

It seems to be aimed right at the male 15-24 demo to me.

Episode 182 - Jon Reviews the Season Premiere of Wynonna Earp
So, reason 4 of Wynonna Earp was on last night, and Jon was all over it.
He really loved the episode, which should surprise nobody.
I didn’t ask him for a star rating, but, he did say it got 91 on IMDB.
We also talked a bit about hockey, it’s coming back!
