Hey. We are Isabelle Michaud and Dave Brodbeck. We started podcasting back in 2005 with a show called Broca's Area. Broca's Area continued until about 2009, and we decided to pack it in. Recently we decided that it might be nice to start up again, so, here we are!
The name 'Broken Area' is a play on our original name of course. We came up with it when we recorded our first episode. At that time we had just had a fire in our house (don't worry, everything is fine) and the name 'Broken' made some sense.
