It’s Jon.
It’s me.
It’s CNDOP!
OK, it’s a day after CNDOP, but what the hell.
We got a LOT of snow recently.
It took us almost three hours to shovel it.
Jon’s been watching lots of sports.
Happy CNDOP everyone!!

Wow, we haven't put any out in so long and now two in the span of a week.
Both Jon and I saw the previews for Dunkirk last year and we looked at each other and said 'let's see that when it comes out'. So, we did.
It was, frankly, a great movie. We both liked it a lot. I didn't record our scores but we would both give this one five out of five.
Jon's also been working at the digital creator space in the public library, making animation, which is cool.
So, we just got back from Toronto.
This was Jonathan's first plane trip that he remembers (there were a couple when he was a baby) so it was eventful.
We went to a bunch of different restaurants, and of course to the Art Gallery of Ontario, Jon reviewed them all, out of 5.
We recorded this just before takeoff on our way home.
Enjoy.
We recorded this one in our trailer while we were camping. We're back to having internet now, so I'm posting this.
We took the Chi cheemaun ferry from South Baymouth to Tobermory Ontario and then camped on the Bruce peninsula. We stayed there for a couple of days and then moved on down to London to visit Maddie and grandma.
The ferry was fun, much smaller than the one we took from Newfoundland, but still it was impressive.
Jon ate on the ferry as well.
As for the song, well I had literally one song on my iPad which we used for this, and the funny thing was I mispronounced the name of the song to hilarious results!
We hope you like this one.
There's another new burger restaurant in town, so we went.
Of course, we also had our devices, which meant Jon could do a review of the place on the way out. I thought it was pretty damned good, and man, umm, ok we're all full.
Jon of course rated it out of five, as is his custom.
Hard to believe that this is our first one of the summer.
Jon has been working on odd movie ideas that involve hacking. I assume the FSB is involved somehow.
Today Jon and I went to see Money Monster, the George Clooney/Julia Roberts vehicle. It looks interesting (I'm writing this before we go) and has gotten fair to middling reviews, with a 55 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.
Here's a guess, Jon will love it, and I will think it was ok.
Hopefully I can get Jon to talk a bit about the movie, the cast and such as well as his recent interest in dubstep and electronic music, which, while I find odd, I think it is a good thing.
We're dedicating this one to our buddy JC.
Enjoy.
So, it is Canadian National Day of Podcasting, so I thought I would ask Jon why he podcasts. The answer? Hmmmm.......
Jon seems very excited today, probably because he took the school bus by himself and availed himself of the vending machines at school. Jon did this one himself using Bossjock studio.
So, he decided he should record us while we ate dinner.....
Jon started high school today. As I dropped him off I asked if he wanted me to come in with him to help him find stuff, his response was 'don't worry Dad, I got this" which made me pretty damned proud.
So, on the way home (it was a half day today) we recorded some. Jon is, to say the least, rather nonchalant about the whole deal. I wish to hell I could have had that attitude when I started high school....
Well, I just got back from the Marshall McLuhan Podcaster Roundtables, where I met a few Jonathan Files fans, and Jon, of course, had some time without his father which, well, if you know me, is probably a blessing....
Jon claims he did not stay up too late when I was gone, but I simply don't believe him.
So, Isabelle took Jon to see Pixels. Now I have heard nothing but bad things about this movie, but, Jon loved it. You know, in a way that is Adam Sandler's business model, make crap that people like.
As the Christmas holidays wind down Jon is having his last present. Jon loves hotels and elevators as you know, so, one of his Christmas gifts is a night in a local hotel.
Earlier in the day Jon went to see The Gambler. Not the old made for TV movie with Kenny Rogers, no no, the new movie with Mark Wahlberg and John Goodman.
John liked it, and rated it accordingly.
We hope you like the episode.
Well, it is here. Yup, the first day of school.
Jon and I had a nice discussion about what he is looking forward to in Grade 8.
Finally, Jon unveiled his new movie series, Closet of Blood......
Isabelle, Jon and I rode up to the University on our bikes. We stopped at our office and we recorded. Jon didn't say much.....
We recorded a Broken Area one night while camping, so as not to be outdone, the next day Jon grabbed my H2 and recorded a Jonathan Files.
So Jon went to see 'Winter's Tale' this weekend. Critics have panned it, not Jon, but to find out what he gave it, you have to listen in.
On our way to the dentist Jon explains his interest in Confucius.
He, of course, also talked about movie ideas and MLP. All in all a good morning, as his dental appointment went well.
On the way to school this morning Jon and I discussed the very wet Halloween we just had and the new Jon Brodbeck Science Building.
A podcast by two people who like to talk about stuff.....
