Episode 84 - On Our Way to Turner

Jon, Isabelle and I are on our way to Toronto to go to an exhibit of JMW Turner's works at the Art Gallery of Ontario.

Oh and this episode starts with a message from an Australian listener!

So we drove down and we talked about Turner, art and the idea of going to Toronto and thinking back to our early 20s when we first met in Toronto.

Episode 83 - Self Actualized Maximalists

So we went shopping a day early as well, as we could so why not?  What's your problem?

We talked a bit about Maslow's hierarchy of needs, which Isabelle is thinking about in her painting.  It is a pretty much discredited idea nowadays in psychology.

We then talked a bit about our new government, specifically the cabinet.  They seem, oh, qualified or something.  Interestingly a large number of them did not 'swear to God' but instead affirmed that they would do their duties.  Plus, half are women, plus there are monitories and everything!

Oh part 2 is recorded on my Zoom H2, there might be a couple of audio problems, for that I apologize.

Episode 82 - Traditions

This one ends abruptly as the recording messed up a touch.

That said we had a good time talking about my sabbatical, and my podcast Spit and Twitches.  Then we got some gas!

We talked about traditions and how you know that saying 'well it is a tradition' is not an argument for or against anything.

Then the recording ended abruptly.....
