Episode 145 - Heathens With Biblical Names

So we had a snow day.  Holy crap did we have a snow day.  Really it was a snow couple of days, though only one day involved the city shutting down.  Snow is common here but not snow days.  To put it in some perspective we have lived here, on and off for 14 years.  We've had one snow day.

If you'd like to see a video of the storm, here's one.

So we got 55 cm of snow over a couple of days, and that wasn't really the issue as much as the wind which caused severe drifting.

Isabelle spent the week in Jon's classes, shadowing him.  It was exhausting.

Remember those grants Isabelle wrote back in the summer?  Well, one of them came through.

Have you ever noticed that nobody is named 'Jesus' in English?  It is common in Spanish.  I wonder why not in English, or French for that matter.

Episode 144 - Christmas Tree Special!

It is that time of year.

The time when we go get a Christmas tree during a blizzard and strap it to our car.  But, not this time!  No, this time we put it in the back, I mean we have an SUV, why in Christ haven't we thought of this before? It's a Christmas miracle!

We talked a little about a couple of other things during the episode too.

Amazon video is in Canada.

Isabelle is doing cool projects with Jon's class.

Plus, we can fit a Christmas tree in our car!

Episode 143 - Not Illustrative

I had a great idea for a title, alas, rejected.  This title is pretty good too, but mine was gold Jerry, gold.

Today we have FOUR stops, as we're returning empties!  We also got gas.

It is the end of term, this pleases both of us.

Isabelle will be devoting her time to her art, and another thing we can't yet talk about.  She also is looking in to making her series on the cow and the zebra into a kids book.  Very exciting that.  The thing is that the story came from the painting rather than the pictures coming from the story.

It's getting cold in norther Ontario, -9 today.

We hope you like this one.

Oh, and, one more thing......
