Episode 152 - You're Listing All of the Things That I Hate

It's a really nice day, about -9, no wind to speak of, perfect for shop casting.

The Bon Soo winter carnival is on.  I hate Sault Ste. Marie spelling things 'Too'.  Isabelle dislikes the period after Ste.  I generally dislike nicknames of cities, The Six, T Dot, Hogtown, all of the kind of thing.  I think I hate using your airport code as a hashtag more though.

Oh if you don't know about them trying to ban French here, yeah that happened, read about it here.

It's Super Bowl weekend.  I honestly don't care.

Isabelle is still searching for grants.  She's really good at that stuff, no matter what she says.

Episode 151 - My Thing and My Thing and My Stuff

Early shopping!  Isabelle is going skiing tomorrow, with a hoop.  I've no idea what that means.

Jon came with us because there is a week off between semesters at school.

I'm finally getting used to my schedule, and my students are coming up with some very cool data.  My sister made some of the stimuli for one of my students.

We've had a couple of weeks of spring like weather, but it is back to winter.

Jon and I ran into a work colleague.  The last time I ran into her at the store was the last time broth was on sale.  My memory is a curse.

Isabelle has been doing some printing which is cool.

Episode 150 - Dirty Melting Snow

So, off we went, in the new era of the crazy USA.  We only briefly talked of that.

Why don't people take criticism well, when it is given honestly?  I just don't get it.  I mean you don't attack the person, but the thing they've done.

We have a friend coming by tonight, you've heard him on a much earlier Broken Area,  We'll have dinner, and then we'll watch the Great Escape!

I told the cashier about sous vide cooking.  I'm a sousvideangelist.

It's a brave new world, let's hope it doesn't become a Brave New World.

Boy is it gross out, 1 C and raining.  Makes it look lovely.  That said, it allowed Isabelle to make a great plate tectonics pull.....

Enjoy our sesquicentennial.
