Episode 78 - String Theory

Today we went shopping, and yup, that is a day early  Isabelle has a very big weekend planned, she has a lot of marking to do today (which I took up part of by having us grocery shop early) and then she is off with her art profs to do some arting up in Agawa.

The conversation was varied, I quite liked Isabelle's idea that debates ought to be moderated by Marc Maron.

Oh I screwed up on one of the songs, started playing the wrong one, and changed.  Edit?  Never!

Episode 77 - Electric Toothbrushes Are Fun!

Boy, this one has a lot of parts.

Some of it was recorded on Monday, at home with Jon, after dinner.  We talked about his new experiences in high school.

The next day we were off to get stuff for Isabelle's art classes.  So, we went to Home Depot, and recorded on the way there.  We saw an AMC Pacer, amazingly, which led to us talking about Isabelle's Mom's Pacer.  Yup, she had a Pacer.

Finally, we got to grocery shopping!  Jon had some problems with his computer on Saturday, which was a nightmare for a bit.  Jon reacted well though.  Oddly, that same day Isabelle got a call from India from 'Microsoft' about how her computer had a virus.....

The final bit was recorded on Sunday,  We talked about Evel Knieval and Snoopy toothbrushes.

Episode 76 - Dave's Record Collection

Well, back at the shopping and the podcasting and the what have you.

Only 1000 of this EP were ever made

Only 1000 of this EP were ever made

Jon joined us for this one as did Isabelle's friend Peggy.  Isabelle is 'going across' today (which is a local euphemism for going to Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan) to pick up a package.  There is a place there that let's you ship to them, for a fee.  Often international shipping rates are horrible, but within the US is fine.  So, Isabelle had some art supplies shipped to this place, she will pick it up and pay the duty.  This made us think of the show 'Border Security'.  Peggy came along because she has stuff to get as well, and, she knows the drill.

We spoke, in passing, of the never ending federal election campaign.

Oh, the title?  It comes from the fact that I have been ripping old records to mp3s and you will hear some of my collection in the next few podcasts.
