Well we thought we would step in to the whole Quebec charter of values thing. Isabelle had a discussion today on facebook with some old friends about the charter. If you don't know, the charter, which is being proposed by the separatist government of Quebec, wants to make wearing religious garb of any sort by public employees illegal. Indeed, you must understand that that includes physicians, professors and anyone else paid by the province.
Well, as most know, we are both atheists, so we have little time for religion really, but, you know, governments have no business telling people how to dress. It strikes me as a violation of human rights. Indeed, it seems to strike the leaders of the three major federal political parties that way too.
Well, listen in, and let us know your thoughts.
